The third edition of The Slingerland Book was released in December of 2024.  Over 100 of the b&w images have been replaced with color scans. The family tree was updated. The complete list of Gibson-era Slingerland presidents is now included, and the end of the Gibson era is explained.  In a number of the key sections of the dating guide, QR codes are included which take the reader directly to related research presented by Dr Carl Wenk at the vintagedrumguide.com website.  This publication is a POD (Print on demand) book printed by Ingram. The paperback edition ($40.00) is printed on standard paper, while the hardcover edition ($70.00)  is printed on premium stock.  To order, go to books section of home page and scroll to the edition you want, add to cart.

The second edition of The Slingerland Book by Rob Cook was published in 2004. It was a 8.5x11 paperback

with 246 pages.  At that time, 4-color offset printing was very expensive, so the color images were all in one section.

The second edition of The Slingerland Book features a cover that was designed by Ben Mepham. By pure coincidence, Ben selected stock images that bear a strong resemblance to former Slingerland President Larry Linkin. "Link" used to drive a car very similar to this one to work at Slingerland, where he parked inside the factory.
